Who’s that girl who spoke in passing
to his Front when he was weak?
Who’s that girl he only looked at
when she cared to sneak a peak?
Who’s the boy who spoke in riddles
that only she could see?
……………………………………………………………………………………………….
That girl who was brave enough
and strong enough
to whether out the storm.
Who saw the boy who’d just been through it
and was shaken at the core.
The girl who’s good at “chess”
while the boy trips up on mines.
Who truly thinks “the best”
but is afraid to speak her mind.
Who’s the boy who left his zone
to see what he could find?
Who only saw the girl
but left everything behind?
They both shared a goal,
one in the same in fact.
But knew not how to reach it,
for it was vision that they lacked.
Now as these words are spoken
they are scrambling about.
Arms flailing, voices wailing
“Ashley!”
“Seth!”
they shout.
